For this summer there was a lot of work to do at the farm and with only four weeks holiday that my husband had, of course he had to keep busy throughout the whole time. This was one of the projects in mind, and surprised that it only took a week!
As many know already, we began our small airbnb business in the summer 2019, after building our tiny Triangle Cabin, which right after it was done, my husband had the vision of making it a skylight so you can look out into the starry night, maybe capturing the northern lights if they so choose to make their way to us. Even to enjoy the rain storms coming through. So our Skylight Cabin was born in time for winter. We loved our cabins and we were happy to hear others did too. But something was missing still. So far we were only able to reserve them for couples. Many inquiries were made to us asking about children, if there was room for three, or for a travel bed for a toddler. So of course my husband put on his thinking cap and designed the structure for our new cabin.
He was determined to get this done in one week while families were still on holiday.
The vision was for room for two beds, a smaller bed on top for kids or one adult. And the bottom bed still able to have a nice skylight view.
By the end of the project, after the cabin was moved to its location, of course we had to have the inspector of the farm, Bella, take a look, and of course she approved!
The interior is just as cozy as our other cabins, a ladder that can easily be moved for more space, and both beds having the wonderful skylight view. It also comes with the same amenities as our others, a fridge, microwave, tea kettle, and heater for the winter. Along with a sitting area, surrounded by our fruit trees and berry bushes.
